Colorado-Artemis was wild and willful and out of control She danced and drank and was danger. She waitressed and wore masks as varied as the sunrise. Idaho introduced her as innocent-yet-dutiful. Colorado pulled her from a shell into a mountain hiker, and a person who speaks and is heard. She came from the drab, the do-as-your-told dirty city where jobs lie open as wide as potholes and shadows permeate every space. Massachusetts-Alita has returned, choking on the sands of this life she left behind, trying to be just one person infiltrated by uneducated opinions and ideas, getting lost in logical fallacies, and wondering; which are mine and which are theirs? |
